"Brand Disloyalty started hanging out and making music in 2003, winding up in 2007. Over a four year period, they went through three rehearsal spaces in three corners of Sydney. They played in cellars, lounge rooms, boatsheds and anywhere else that bands aren't meant to play. They consumed a hell of a lot of Stones Ginger Beer and even more falafel. They ruined each other's ears by playing too loud without fail, as well as those of their neighbours and friends. They took two extended breaks while people travelled the world. They knew what dodecahedrons were. They pissed each other off like only lovers should be capable of. They also became great friends. But, yeah, they also managed to write some songs, play some really fun shows and have a hell of a lot of fun making music together. They put out a demo, recorded a 7" and a few other things that never got released and then recorded another 7" that they put out before breaking up because one of them thought it would be a good idea to move to London. All that in four years? Yeah, they took a couple of breaks.

They played punk rock that sounds like what punk rock should have sounded like. It was constantly falling apart at the seams, awash in volume, feedback and melodic anguish. There was an implied nod towards some great 90s bands like Superchunk and Archers Of Loaf, but that was all subconscious. In the end, they sounded like three friends who loved playing together and trying to do something honest when it seemed like there were so few others willing to try that avenue."
